Daily Quest: Time To Pokemon Go

share on:

Pokemon Go has now been released in several major territories including the USA, Germany, and the UK. I finally took today to explore my local area and check out some of the Pokestops and rare Pokemon in the region.

I had been meaning to explore the game on a larger scale for some time, and now that I have, I can genuinely say that it has the potential to be one of the coolest things ever done in our industry.

I was able to get a new view of my own world through the lens of a fictional franchise. I’ve lived in this house for only half a year at this point, and I haven’t really had a chance to just walk around and explore the neighborhood like I used to in the other places I lived. Today, I finally had a chance to do that and it was only amplified by the presence of these interesting fictional creatures.

Also, if you like the franchise there’s a real sense of familiarity from the moment you turn on the game. This is no main game by any stretch, but Pokemon Go is a true Pokemon title in terms of its atmosphere.
