With the upcoming The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrow Expansion, there will not only be new places to go, quests to do, and creatures, people to interact with, there will also be new gameplay features as well. Mainly, the Battleground feature which Zenimax recently discussed.
The first one they detailed was the Dwarven ruins of Ald Carac. This Battleground was designed with close quarters combat to be the focus. There are many buildings and walls that prevent people from getting good lines of sight on their foes, thus you need to do things up close and personal. This only gets more true once you go deeper into the mines themselves, as things get even tighter.
But, if you prefer more open spaces, there is an open area within the center of the map that’ll allow for more open fights. However, because this area is open, that means there is danger of being picked off by your foes from beyond. But, in return, you do get to see where the enemy base is, so that could be a huge advantage if you survive long enough.
All Battlegrounds are 4v4v4 affairs, so you’ll need to be mindful of your surroundings at all times, else get killed, which is exactly what the team at Zenimax wanted.
As for the modes you can on this map, there is Team Deathmatch, Domination, and Capture the Flag. All modes will use the map different and will give the players something different to focus on, so even though it’s the same map, you’ll have to plan each one differently if you want to succeed.
You can get some further details from the official post. Zenimax will release more information on the remaining Battlegrounds in Elder Scrolls Online, all this month, stay tuned for more info.
