It isn’t long now until the release of Civilization VI, and along the way developers Firaxis Games have been showcasing leaders that will appear in the game. The latest of said leaders is Pericles, a prominent orator for Athens who will lead Greece in the upcoming release.

A well-known orator and statesman, Pericles is an influential character who successfully repulsed Persian invasions in 478 BC during what was known as the golden age of Athens. Players that are playing in Greece will look after the theatre district of Acropolis, in order to achieve a higher cultural bonus should their buildings be built upon a hill. As Pericles, using his Surrounded by Glory ability will also give additional bonuses, which will prove particularly helpful in early game.

Since Civilization VI is built with a new game engine, a mid to powerful PC is likely to be required to play, with minimum requirements being reported as needing an ANVIDIA GeForce 9600GT 512MB or ATI RADEON HD 4870 512MB graphics card, with an operating system of at least Windows Vista or higher. Players should also take note that the recommended processors include an Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 or AMD Phenom X4 9750.

Civilization VI will release next month on October 21st, be sure to head over the GamesDeal for a great deal on the game!
